Cinderella 2022

Hot fun in the summertime!  I hope you all are finding rest and enjoyment in this summer's heat.  It is time to reconnect with you all to update you on all the new developments moving forward for One For All Musical Theater's next annual all-original Broadway-like musical production, Cinderella.

We will be celebrating our 5th anniversary and 're-premiering' Cinderella.  This musical was first premiered in March, 2018, and will now be presented once again in March, 2022, at the Jewish Community Center's brand-new, beautiful, state-of-the-art theater facility in Omaha.  The musical has been revised and embellished, offering a delightful evening of added fun and surprises along the way.

I am excited to announce that Mr. Seth Guthrie has signed on to direct this production.  Seth comes to One For All Musical Theater with impeccable credentials and the stage has been a part of his life since he was a young child.  I'm looking forward to what Seth is going to bring to this production!

Our new director, Mr. Seth Guthrie!

Auditions for Cinderella will be held Saturday, October 2nd, at Rockbrook United Methodist Church (UMC) at 9855 West Center Road from 9:30am to noon.  This will be a group audition.  If individuals are not able to attend the audition on October 2nd, they can schedule a one-on-one audition with the director directly by contacting him.  Anyone is welcome to audition - ages 3 through adults.  No one is turned away.  Adults are offered a stipend, amount to be determined, which will be paid after the last performance.  There is an entrance fee charged to families of those aged 3 through high school to help defray the expenses associated with the production.  The fee is $50 per student with a cap of $100 per family.  There is also a $50 reimbursable security deposit for fundraising, required for each individual or family, due at the audition during registration.

Rehearsals begin on Friday, November 5th, at Rockbrook UMC, from 6:30 to 8:00pm (9pm as needed by staff for select individuals).  Rehearsals continue on the 12th and 19th, break for Thanksgiving, resume on December 3rd and 10th, then break for Christmas and then resume in January, with Saturday rehearsals (10:00am to noon (2:00pm as needed)) added.  More details will be available soon on the calendar on the website.

Choreography will begin in January on every other Saturday at On Pointe Dance Centre in Omaha.  More details to follow soon.

In March 2022, on the 16th, 17th and 18th, One will move into the JCC for show weeks.  Tech rehearsals are the 19th through the 21st (12:00 to 4:00pm) - everyone will be expected to attend the rehearsals on the 19th and 20th.  Those who can get free from work or school are encouraged to attend the rehearsal on the 21st.  Dress rehearsals are the 22nd through the 24th, 6:00 to 9:00pm, with a live orchestra.  We will be performing with recordings as well.  The 25th and 26th, 7:00 to 9:15pm, are the first two performances, with call time at 5:30pm.   Cast can arrive at the JCC no sooner than noon.  The 27th and 28th are rest days - no activities.  The 29th, 30th and 31st are spot rehearsal days - rehearsals will be at the director's discretion, from 6:00 to 9:00pm.  The last two performances are April 1st and 2nd, 7:00 to 9:15pm, with call time at 5:30pm and arrival no sooner than noon.  April 3rd and 4th are move-out days.

To those of you who have been waiting for the Phantom video, as some of you know, video production usually takes longer than the actual performances.  It's been a long, slow process - keep your eyes on FWIG (Facebook, Web, Instagram & G-mail) for notification when the videos are ready.  That's my acrostic for the day!

More fun in the sun!
