It's Already August!!

                                        





Classes

*Registration (for ages 6 years through adult): Friday, August 18, 10:00 am to noon, Rockbrook United Methodist Church, 9855 W. Center Road, Omaha, NE
*You can also arrange a registration appointment by emailing us at oneforallmusicaltheater@gmail.com.
Tuition:  First family member - $225/9-week, 30-minute classes, non-refundable
              Additional family members - $216/member, as above
              Due at registration in the form of cash, check or credit card.  PayPal is also an option, via                       email, but there will be a surcharge per person per course to cover PayPal service fees.

*A group discount is offered for groups of at least 5 students, age 6 years through adult, of $175/student/one 9-week course = $875 total for a group of 5 (a savings of $50 per student off the regular price of $225).  Payment for the entire group must be made in  one payment. 

UPDATE: We are now accepting email registrations but only with PayPal as payment. Here is a link to the info needed for registration including payment amounts for the PayPal option (includes service fees).


Registration will be confirmed once we have all needed information at OneForAllMusicalTheater@gmail.com plus the correct payment to PayPal.

*The classes are not necessarily connected to the production (which follows starting in November), but students can be a part of the production if they choose.
*Classes will be concluded with a showcase presentation presented by both teachers and students on the last week, Friday, October 27.

*Class Schedule 
September 1 - October 27
Fridays, 6:30 to 8:00 pm (6:30 to 7:00, 7:00 to 7:30, 7:30 to 8:00)

6:30 to 7:00 - "A Day in the World of Theater"
Production Prep, Theater Etiquette, Production Roles, and other information.  We will go from the role of a Director to the role of the Props Manager, discussing and learning the roles and how each one is important to the world of theater.  It isn't just about the actors on the stage but those behind the scenes who help create the magic you see.

7:00 to 7:30 - "Musical Theater Vocals"
Musical Theater genre, vocal technique, taking care of the voice, and other information.  The focus of this class is on the musical theater-styled songs.  We will focus on warm-up techniques, how to approach singing solo and how to approach singing in a group.  This class will also teach the importance of an audition and how to approach song selections.

7:30 to 8:00 - "Acting"
Blocking, stage directions, character development, etc.  The focus in this class will be how to analyze the character and roles you were chosen for.  Different techniques on how to bring your character/role to life and to create your own story, as well as tips and tricks to being on the stage.

Production 

*Auditions
Group audition Saturday, October 14, 9:00 am to noon
Cast members may register for the production that day.  
Bring a notepad, pen/pencil, and a water bottle.
Individual Auditions will be held by appointment as needed on later dates.

*Rehearsals
Will begin Friday, November 3 at Rockbrook UMC, from 6:30 to 9:00 pm (all cast members 10 years and younger will be dismissed at 8:00 pm)
